Nonbinary. Often refers to a person whose gender doesn’t fit into the boxes of “male” or “female.” This person may express their gender as a mix of masculinity and femininity; or switch up day-to-day how they express their gender; or reject the concepts of feminine and masculine; or have any other way of living gender that rejects the idea that women and men are the only gender experiences that exist. This concept is often called gender non-binarity. More generally, nonbinary means refusing to see things in black and white, or as just one thing and its opposite. We often shorten the word to NB or enby, as in enby people or lovely enbies.
